I don't have a good high wind fighter so i decided to make one. I basically followed Phillipe Gallot's pattern for the Swift and created the quilt pattern and color scheme. This produced the fighter on the right. Before i had ever flown it i decided it was too small. I wanted to make one for Sharon as a thank-you for spending the entire Berkeley Kite Festival in the BASKL tent. I scaled the kite up (conscious of the size of a fighter box), and also eliminated all the curves - they were too hard :(. The result on the left looks more like a pregnant penguin than a swallow. It has lost a significant amount of its elegance. Look for a happy medium in the future.
